Blood Oak Bourbon has announced the release of Blood Oath Pact No. 6 coming this spring.
For Blood Oak Pact No. 6, Master Blender John Rempe chose a 14-year high-rye bourbon with notes of oak and leather, the company says, with an 8-year, warm, toasty high-rye bourbon, and complimented them both with a 7-year high-rye bourbon rested in cognac casks. This particular pact is special in that the cognac barrels added some sweetness and a slightly fruity, brandy flavor to the bourbon.
