The Bitter Truth Pimento Dram Review

by Daniel Galyean

This bottle of Pimento Dram liqueur from The Bitter Truth bundles up the delicious flavors and scents of the pimento berry, also known as the Jamaica pepper, or allspice, along with the subtle taste of the Jamaican rum that makes up its base. The satisfying mixture of spices are easily combined with a variety of spirits to add a tropical feel on warm summer nights or a fresh baked cozy feeling to enjoy in the thick of winter.

The Bitter Truth Pimento Dram Tasting Notes

Nose- Scrumptious spices, reminiscent of winter baking. Prominently featuring the scent of cloves and giving a secondary place to cinnamon.

Palate- Cinnamon spice and everything nice, can you a tell I’m a fan of Pimento flavor? A soft sweetness greets the mouth first and introduces hints of vanilla along with the perfect trio of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg as you would expect.

Finish- The rum base flavor kicks in at the end and leaves a gentle warmth on the palate that combines with the previously mentioned spices and lingers nicely.
