Molson Coors and the Milwaukee community experienced a tragedy this week with the shooting at a building within the Molson Coors Brewing Co. campus.
The tragedy included the loss of Dale Hudson, electrician with the Milwaukee Brewery since 2008; Gene Levshetz, powerhouse operator since 2008; Jesse Valle Jr., powerhouse operator since 2014; Dana Walk, machinist since 2004; and Trevor Wetselaar, powerhouse operator since 2018.
“The beer business is a tight-knit community built on relationships, and we have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our employees, distributors, customers and from countless others in the industry who are looking for ways to help,” says Gavin Hattersley, CEO Molson Coors, in a release.
To honor the lives lost and help support their families, the company has created the Miller Valley Survivors Fund, which is open to anyone who would like to contribute. The fund began with a $500,000 donation from Molson Coors.
Anyone who would like to donate to the fund may visit the GoFundMe page.
“Throughout all of this, I have been incredibly heartened to see our employees and our system come together,” Hattersley adds. “Please keep the families in your thoughts as we all work to heal from the events of this week.”
