Litchfield Batchers Bourbon Finished in Balsamic Vinegar Casks
The crew at Olives and Oil filled a used bourbon barrel with an 8-year old imported Modena balsamic vinegar and let it rest for a year. We then bottled it to use in our restaurant and sent the empty sweet vinegar-kissed barrel to Litchfield Distillery to fill with their CT-Made bourbon. The result is a delicious blend that starts with tart, sweet acidic notes highlighting the balsamic cask, and then with sweet corn, oak, and caramelized sugar. Try it neat, in a Manhattan, sidecar, or whiskey sour.

Little Book Chapter 6 “To The Finish”
“To The Finish” is a blend of five liquid streams all distilled under Noe’s watchful eye. The 4-year-old Straight Malt Whiskey liquid streams all start as the same American Single Malt Whiskey but are aged separately with different wood staves and barrel techniques to impart a unique taste profile. Once the liquids are individually dumped, they are blended back together in different ratios before a 5-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon is added to create the final blend. The result is an extremely approachable liquid, even for those who have yet to try a cask strength whiskey.
Tasting Notes: Little Book “To The Finish” features flavors of rich toasted grain with hints of smoke.

Little Book Chapter 8: To Look Ahead
In 2012, Fred Noe, 7th Generation Beam Family Master Distiller, asked his son Freddie if he was sure he wanted to be in the family business. Freddie didn’t hesitate – he said yes.
Freddie took on roles across distillery operations to learn the ins and outs of the business. During this time, Freddie discovered a real fascination with tinkering – just like his granddaddy, Booker. He was drawn to the practically limitless palette of tastes and flavors created by blending different aged spirits and pushing the boundaries of the whiskey category.
Little Book® is Freddie’s passion in a bottle and his way of honoring his granddad and family. The name “Little Book” was the nickname given to Freddie growing up by his granddad Booker.
Little Book® is an annual limited release series that will feature new, unique blends crafted and blended by Freddie and bottled uncut and unfiltered in honor of his grandfather.
Little Book® Chapter 8: Path Not Taken, is the eighth chapter in the Little Book Whiskey series. Chapter 8: Path Not Taken offers any curious whiskey drinker a chance to explore where American Whiskey can go by looking back to where it’s been.

Loch Lomond 47 Year Old Single Malt Scotch
Loch Lomond 47 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled, matured, and bottled in Scotland by Loch Lomond Distillery.
The first site of the former Loch Lomond Distillery dates back to 1814, sited at the north end of Loch Lomond near Tarbet (known as Tarbat). Sadly in the old days relatively few paper records were kept and the closing date of this Distillery remains unclear.
Loch Lomond Distillery was commissioned by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1965 with first distillation in 1966. In 1984, the distillery closed – or fell silent, to use the traditional term. Happily though, Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired the business and resumed malt production in 1987. Grain whisky production began in 1993 and two new malt stills were added in 1999.
At the time the Grain distillery opened in 1994, it was the only distillery in Scotland producing both Grain and Malt whisky. It also operates a unique set-up of three sets of stills.
Our distillery has the ability and self sufficiency to produce Special Edition Whisky including, Single Grain Whisky and Deluxe Blends.

Loch Lomond The 150th Open Mizunara Cask 29 Year Old
This Mizunara Exclusive Cask has been chosen to celebrate the 150th year of The Open at St Andrews and our proud relationship with golf’s oldest, most prestigious tournament. We raise a dram to all those who have had the honor of playing and contributing to this very special tournament over the years.
Like the Open itself, this whisky has taken an incredible journey, distilled in 1993 from our traditional Swan Stills and starting its life in American Oak casks. Michael Henry, our Master Blender, hand-selected this whisky to take a different path, finishing it in Mizunara Oak which is a species native to Japan. These casks are quite rare and require social crafting as Mizunara Oak Tress take around 200 years to fully mature and have a softer more delicate nature.
You can expect rich orchard fruits on the palate, with a tropical influence of coconut, banana, and toasted oak from Mizunara casks, with a melted brown sugar sweetness on the finish. It is non-chilled filtered, to keep things just as nature intended.
