Selected from a small batch of barrels entirely from the sixth floor of the seven story rickhouse, this is an extremely limited bourbon. Bottled at a barrel proof of 120.2, it is not only the highest proof entry in the Collection to date, but the highest proof Russell’s Reserve bottling ever released, perfectly capturing the essence of the rickhouse.

The third edition of the Single Rickhouse series comes from Camp Nelson B, which was built in the 1940s and is still standing tall today as one of 5 remaining rickhouses on the property. Its central location on the Camp Nelson plot lends itself to increased sun exposure vs. the rickhouses of previous Single Rickhouse releases.

Sagamore 7 Year Old Bottled in Bond Straight Rye
Sagamore Bottled in Bond straight rye whiskey marks our commitment to the highest levels of excellence and authenticity – furthering our mission to make Maryland distilled, aged, and bottled products. Enacted in 1897, the bottled-in bond distinction is a marker of distilling quality and transparency. Produced in the fall of 2017 at our Maryland distillery, this rye whiskey is a blend of two rye mash bills – a high rye and a low rye – showcasing flavors of rye spice from our grain, fruit, and floral notes from our sour mash fermentation, and toasty caramel from our barrel aging.

Maple syrup aged in a whiskey barrel makes a lovely treat. Adding rye whiskey back to these barrels after aging maple syrup creates a captivating concoction, and that’s exactly what we did. Our 6-year-old straight rye whiskey spent over 2 years in a maple syrup barrel, producing a spirit with notes of cinnamon sticks, almond blossoms, and crystallized maple sugar. The classic spice profile of our signature whiskey blends nicely with flavors of powdered sugar, fresh figs, vanilla cream, and dark chocolate from the maple syrup barrel. It’s Grade A ambrosia that we hope you enjoy!

Winemaking in Maryland is synonymous with Boordy Vineyards, and we’re proud to call them both partners and friends in crafting delicious, locally rooted products. That’s why we’re excited to bring back our Albariño Cask Finish Rye Whiskey. This whiskey showcases a mineral rarely found in whiskeys, originating from Boordy’s locally grown Albariño grapes—a varietal that grows well in our home state. We finished our 4-year-old straight rye whiskey for over 4 years in Boordy’s ex-Albariño barrels, resulting in a spirit with vibrant notes of ripe stone fruits, honeysuckle, and fragrant oak, leading into a long, floral finish with traces of salinity.

We are excited to present our newest offering from our ongoing partnership with Orchid Cellar Meadery & Winery in Middletown, MD. Orchid Cellar barrel-aged an orange bochet—a caramelized honey mead fermented with zesty oranges—to create their “Jester” mead, and we finished our 7-year-old straight rye whiskey for an additional 2 years in these barrels to craft this enchanting spirit. This whiskey opens with floral sweetness, powdered sugar, and rich chocolate pie, followed by subtle notes of honeycomb and orange marmalade before a classic rye spice finish.

Flavors of papaya, black peppercorns, graham crackers, and bitter chocolate are layered over the palate before a brilliant cinnamon-apple finish from the cider barrel. Sagamore Pineau des Charentes Cask Finish Rye
Pineau des Charentes is a traditional fortified wine from the Charentes region of France, made by blending fresh grape juice with Cognac eau-de-vie and aging it in large oak barrels. We were inspired by this unique style and finished our 6-year-old straight rye whiskey for an additional 2 years in a 119-gallon Pineau des Charentes barrels to bring together these rich aromas and flavors. This whiskey offers notes of grilled peaches, toasted almonds, and strawberry candy, with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. Flavors of plum and baked pear mingle with rich caramel and rye spices, before a distinct herbaceous finish.
