“Dancing Daughters” was the nickname given o the fierce and unapologetic women of the 1920s who challenged societal norms. Though the passage of the 19th amendment finally gave women the right to vote, women’s rights were still limited. The Dancing Daughters, though, rejected those limitations. They entered the workforce, drove cars, and attended jazz clubs by night.
This spirit honors their fighting spirit and says “Cheers” to those brave enough, like The Dancing Daughters, to fight for equality for all.

Aromas of sweet fruit, caramel, vanilla, rich oak, and cream swirl at the surface of this cask strength single barrel 8-year-old straight bourbon. We don’t make a lot of bourbon, but when we do we dream of it tasting like this one day. Here’s to life, two handfuls. Daniel Weller Emmer Wheat Recipe Straight Bourbon
In 1794 Daniel Weller, the grandfather of William Larue Weller, left Maryland and made the long voyage down the Ohio River. Daniel traveled with his wife and children, ultimately settling in Kentucky where he would continue the family tradition of distilling.
Our Emmer Wheat Recipe is inspired by Daniel and his pioneering spirit. Rarely seen in modern day stills, Emmer Wheat is an ancient Egyptian grain that was used in bread and beer.
This bottle is a tribute to Daniel, the trail blazer of the Weller Family.
