Journeyman Distillery released their latest expression- Not A King Rye Whiskey, as a patriotic tribute to this years President’s Day. President Washington, though honored and celebrated as a hero and recommended by many to become the nations first monarch after his victory of the British, humbly refused the title stating he was “Not a King.” This limited release is the brand’s interpretation of Washington’s original rye whiskey recipe with a mash bill of 60% Rye, 35% Corn and 5% Malted Barley. This bottle, Batch 6, will take drinkers back to the time and flavors of spirits enjoyed during the age of America’s original settlers. Meet with cinnamon raisin toast and freshly spun cotton candy upon first sip, then finish with hints of Nutella and dried stone fruit.
