Cincinnati Distilling Barrel Select Bourbon
In 1794, Christian Waldschmidt, a veteran of the American Revolution and businessman, started a new community at a site on the Little Miami River in Sycamore Township, Ohio. He built a general store, a blacksmith shop, a church, Ohio’s first paper mill, and one of Cincinnati’s first distilleries. After Christian Waldschmidt passed away in 1814 he passed his legacy onto his daughter Catherine and son-in-law Mathias Kugler. They continued their father’s business and distilling legacy for decades. Today we produce only the finest whiskeys just a short distance from that original settlement. Our distillery is located in the Kugler’s historic home celebrating the Waldschmidt and Kugler’s distilling heritage and rugged pioneering spirit.

Clyde May’s Cask Strength 13 Year Old
There’s some things you learn in school, and some things you just gotta find out on your own. Clyde May figured a lot out on his own, including how to keep his Bourbon Barrels hidden from the law. The Alabama born-and-bred Moonshiner liked to use big ol’ piles of sawdust, collected from his lumber-making pals, to bury his prized barrels until they were ready to tap.
Kind of a happy accident then, that piling sawdust on them actually helped the maturation process. The booze stayed hidden, and got a little more toasty and flavorful along the way. When we set out to make a Limited Edition, Cask Strength Bourbon, it was those old dust covered barrels we wanted to evoke. The good stuff-the stuff old Clyde would tuck away for much later. We Didn’t have to hide it in sawdust this time, but we’re pretty sure he’d be happy with the result. -

Dragon’s Milk Origin Toasted Barrel Bourbon
Whisky/Whiskey, American Whiskey, Bourbon, Brands, Dragon's Milk, New Holland Spirits, Small Batch, AlcoholLong ago, the phrase HC SVNT DRACONES was used to denote mysterious and uncharted territories. This ominous warning kept many wary travelers at bay. To us, it became an invitation.
The story of Dragon’s Milk began by venturing into the unknown as one of the first innovators to age beer in bourbon casks. Now we travel further…exploring the spirit that crafted a legend.
In a modern world dominated by column still bourbon, we again opted for the road less traveled – distilling on a prohibition-era pot still. This traditional method allowed us to produce true small-batch bourbon, always bottled at the pinnacle of flavor in batches of 100 barrels or less. The result is a whiskey that offers a rich body and complex flavor made to be savored.
