Bruichladdich 30 Year Old
30 Year Aged. A single malt that tells the story of our resurrection. From rebuilding our Victorian distillery and island community to the survival of our rarest – almost lost – single malts.
The Bruichladdich story almost ended in the late 20th century when the doors were forced to close. Since 2001, we have rebuilt and restored the Victorian distillery, uncovering and safeguarding the single malts which have been quietly maturing for over 30 years. Shaped by an all Islay maturation, under the guardianship of determined hands, this bourbon cask matured single malt has notes of dark chocolate and honey – and captures a pivotal moment in time for Bruichladdich and our steadfast island community.

Bruichladdich Aonadh Single Malt Scotch
Aonadh – Gaelic for “Union”, and pronounced “oon-ouch”, this 10-year-old single malt offers beguiling notes of fruit, cinnamon, and nuts, with a sweet and spicy finish.
Comforted by the echo of gently lapping waves, this cask strength 10-year-old is the perfect marriage of the finest port finished Bunnahabhain, and sherry matured Bunnahabhain. Each of these has then been brought together post maturation, to form this unique spirit. The result is an intriguing intertwining of rich vanilla aromas and fulsome fruit notes, imbued with cinnamon, nuts, and the faintest tang of the sea itself.

Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2013 Islay Single Malt Scotch
Bere Barley is Britain’s oldest continuously cultivated cereal. Once a staple for Scotland’s distillers, it would fall out of fashion when more modern varieties were selected for yield, not flavor. Led by our unrelenting curiosity, we have been working since 2005 to reintroduce Bere alongside the University of the Highlands and Island’s Agronomy Institute. This resurrection story is a triumph for the remote Islands ecosystem built around this grain in Orkney. Perhaps more importantly though, it is also a triumph for flavor seekers. Matured in our classic house style of ex-bourbon and ex-wine casks, the delicious, buttery texture of Bere is unmistakably unique.

Bruichladdich Organic Barley 2012
At Bruichladdich, whisky is more than just a drink. It’s a force for positive change. We use uncompromising spirit to reconnect land, community, and dram for good. We step outside conventional whisky systems to champion agriculture, unlocking barley’s diverse flavor potential and supporting farmers in search of positive environmental solutions. In this exploratory series, we pioneer three principles: The what, the where, and the how of barley growing in Scotland.
It was a landmark move when we revisited the revolutionary old ideas of our ancestors and distilled an organic crop of barley in 2003. The industrialization of both distilling and agriculture had disconnected us from grain and ground to the detriment of our abilities to translate flavor from grain through to glass. Two decades on, we continue to champion organic systems that express a true sense of place, while regenerating the land. Here on Islay, this delicately nuanced malt is distilled slowly, through our tall, narrow-necked stills, before being matured in ex-bourbon and ex0wine casks. Rich and creamy in character, this single malt is a testament to the patience of our farming partners and our distilling team.
