Hooten Young 12 Year Old American Whiskey Review

by Evangelina Galyean

Hooten Young Whiskey was created to honor American heroes, one sip at a time. Their American whiskey has a sophisticated and complex set of flavors that reflects it’s ripe age of 12 years. Made with a mash bill of 99% corn and 1% barley, and bottled at 92 proof that provides a rich tasting experience.

Hooten Young American Whiskey was discovered by Master Sommelier George Miliotes who brings his renowned expertise to Hooten Young as one of only 268 Master Sommeliers in the world.

His unique perspective and background as a Master Sommelier led to a truly unique, MGP sourced creation. According to George, “we tasted a large number of barrels…and in the end it loops back as a Master Sommelier though, I wanted something that tasted really, really good and that was different. I felt that this 12-year-old American whiskey was unique and allows us to ultimately have a beautiful spirit.”
