Chicken Cock Mizunara Japanese Oak Finish Bourbon
James A. Miller, the founder of Chicken Cock Whiskey, took so much pride in his beloved chickens and his exceptional whiskey it led him to name his whiskey “Chicken Cock.” To this day we continue to take pride in the beautiful roosters that adorn our exceptional whiskey. As such, the fourth edition of Chicken Cock’s limited annual tin release is guided by a like-minded pride in roosters and good whiskey. The Onagadori rooster and Mizunara Oak from Japan inspired this year’s release.
The Onagadori rooster is not only stunning but also incredibly rare, with its distinctive long tail. Similarly, Mizunara oak is renowned for its rarity and difficulty coopering, taking up to two centuries to mature before it can be used to make whiskey barrels. It’s likely the Mizunara oak trees used in this batch were already growing when Miller began making whiskey in the 1800s.
Chicken Cock Whiskey’s Mizunara is our award-winning Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, enhanced by the unique character of first use Mizunara Japanese Oak finishing.

Miller began shipping barrels of his coveted whiskey down to New Orleans as early as the 1830s’ and there was no shortage of Chicken Cock Whiskey in “The Big Easy” in the many decades that followed. To commemorate this relationship that stems back nearly 300 years, we are proud to offer the New Orleans Bourbon Festival the very first single barrel of our Double Oak 9-Year Kentucky Whiskey to ever be released.

Chopin Vodka Vera Wang Limited Edition
The latest collaboration between Chopin Vodka & Designer Vera Wang uses a variety of young potatoes that have never been on the market. The potatoes used for the product are sustainably grown and sourced without chemicals or pesticides in the village of Krzesk, Poland, where the Chopin Vodka distillery is located. The resulting product is naturally gluten-free. During the creative process, Wang was determined to retain the Chopin bottle’s iconic shape, with a modern, architectural and sophisticated iteration for the Vera Wang fashion/lifestyle brand. The poem on the back of the bottle is an “ode” to Wang’s personal relationship with vodka.
